Twilight, The Epidemic

Last night I was forced so happy to go see Twilight with Kelly and Kyle, Heather of the EO and Mackenzie. I had not read the book. I was on the fence about reading the book. But heck, why not go see the movie. WOAH.
All I can say that this was the most insane movie experience of my life. Imagine about 75, pre-teen girls, SCREAMING! every time Edward would appear on screen, Or Jacob, or James... you name it, they would SCREAM!! It was so amusing and surreal that it made up for one of the lamest movies i had ever seen. Sorry if you liked it, i was not impressed. This did however make me want to read the book, so i could compare the two. I think I might like the book better. Maybe.

So onto bigger and better things, like Christmas and decorating and my Rosanna Inc.'s 12 Days of Christmas Plates! I am so excited because this year I have a real live dining room in my real live house, that i really bought all by myself! Anyway, I am not much of a collector, but I have fallen in love with the Rosanna Bowles, a tableware designer who makes the CUTEST dishes, plates, cups, bowls, etc., that you could sink your little chic teeth into. (twilight pun)
A few years ago I was able to get my hands on the 12 Days of Christmas Plates, at Macy's for 75% off!!!
And thus, this year I will proudly be displaying my plates for all to see and marvel and drool over.

My ears are still ringing. And I am still 31. Wasn't that supposed to reverse the aging process?
What are you talking about? That was the best cinematic experience I've ever had in my whole life ever.

Or no, maybe it was the weirdest. But fun to experience it with you!

I'm going to steal those plates! Remember last year when I hounded you to give me the scoop on how to get them? You can have a giveaway and give them to me if you'd like. I'll be the only entry. Thank you.

I came over from Heather's blog because I like your blog name. I might have to add a dictionary to my profile, because mine has a word in it that people think I made up in order to show I'm smarter than them. :)

Oh, and you have cupcakes. Sweet, glorious cupcakes.

LMAO I made my 11 year daughter old go with her sister who's 13 to
watch Twilght. The 11 year old had to tell me as loud as she could in a packed theater when it was over that was the stupidest vampire movie I have ever seen!
Then complained all the way to the van about how can vampires have no fangs? How can they walk around in daylight? I just laughed, every comment made the 13 year old got
madder and madder!
I saw it (twice, actually). I saw it the first time by myself on Friday afternoon (yes, I took the day off work so as to avoid the pre-teen screaming) and thought it was... weird (?). I have read the book a couple of times and liked it (although my like-age has waned) but the movie seemed weird (I don't know, schizophrenic maybe) and some of the special effects were super cheesy.

Anyway, I got my older sister (who hasn't read the books) to go see it on Saturday to see if I was just being all I-read-the-book weird about it, and she agreed that it was kind of like a movie that was made for people who liked the book. She had to keep asking me questions (like when Bella first walks into the Biology room she thought Edward was covering his mouth to hide his fangs... which are a big no-no in Stephenie Meyer land... because they never really talked about the smell that much, at least as much as they did in the book). Also, without knowing what's in the book Edward comes across as super creepy stalker guy.

My sister said it made her want to read the books too, only because having only seen the movie she couldn't figure out what all the hype was about. We're old too, though.

I love those plates. And I didn't like the movie either. The book was a lot better.
