Deep Thoughts for Thursday

Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you're going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk.

Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no Internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.

The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.

MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don't mind if I do!

I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

Since you like facebook stalking!! I know you won't care if I leave a comment.

I was out surfing around bouncing back by comments left on blogs.

I like the blow some air trick for nintendos. You can also fix a lot of electronics that don't seem repairable by doing a "controlled" drop of them on a hard floor. If a controlled drop doesn't work, toss it against a wall hard. I have fixed a lot of graphing calculators this way for students.

I don't think I've ever come across a public FB profile. I'm clearly not as proficient of a stalker as you.

And I so agree about Mapquest.

It's embarrassing how many times I have realized I am walking the wrong direction and have to do a 180. Embarrassing.

And I have someone I want to facebook stalk. Do you want to be added as her friend so I can stalk her through you? :)
I do that wrong way thing in parking lots all.the.time.

This post was just the most fun ever. I love the Nintendo thing too. It really did always work!

And yes, mapquest. I know to turn off my own street. Thank you.

I'm sorry I've been so behind around here. I've just caught up on a bunch of posts. I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt! I'll pray for her, Sabrina.

Hahaha. Love the Nintendo comment. They are soft! Not just kids, either. At work they'll call me (I'm in tech support) to fix something that, if it happened to me, I'd just deal with it. If taking a cartridge out every 200 pages and blowing it out made my printer work, I'd do it. They have to have it fixed. Soft, I tell ya!
