NO TWD TODAY

I wasn't able to make the Savory Corn and Pepper Muffins that we were supposed to make this week. Partly because I'm not a big corn muffin fan and there was a snow storm here yesterday and I didn't feel like making an unnecessary stop at the grocery store.

However, I would like to make these at some point, because unlike sweet corn muffins these corn muffins reduce the sugar and you get to add chili powder and jalapenos! That is my kind of corn muffin, sweet and savory. Although I could probably do without the whole kernels of corn in the muffin... that kind of frightens me. But I would be willing to give it a shot.

I now have to get back to work, hoping that they are kind and turn up the heat at the school... since there will be a high of NEGATIVE 2 degrees today. barf.

I could not handle that cold weather. It is cold here, but only about 30 degrees. There's always next week!

It's freezing here too...I don't have a car this week so the boys and I are stuck home...fine by me! I'm with ya with the whole kernels of corn in the muffins not sounding so good! Could you put them in the blender for a few seconds so they're not so...big!
You know what's funny? You say you don't care for corn muffins, but then you have them right up there at the top of your blog with pink icing on them. What a strange dichotomy. :)

I know! There is something about corn kernels in corn muffins that freak me out as well! Stay warm!

I hope you get to try these soon - they are really good. Spring is only 3 months away. Hang in there, Sabrina.

To bad you were not able to make these they were very good. I was a bit on the fence about having the corn in it but you can even tell they are there. Very tasty with a bowl of chili!

Dang girl, I thought 7 above was cold. sorry. I'll stop whining. No worries here I wouldn't make a trip to the store either especially if you don't like corn muffins. Sometime before June and spring you might want to pull them out of the oven just for fun. You could leave out the corn. Have a great day and I hope you stay warm. Thanks for visiting me.

It's cold here, too, but only 19 degrees, not -2.
