Good Bye June....

In less than an hour it will be July!! My favorite month!!! YAY!
Other good things that are happening:

Highlights:
1. Marius got his new collar and ID tag and didn't put up a fuss... I sent him outside singing the B-52's "Roam if you want to, roam around the world..."
2. My pictures from Black Apple came in and they are adorable.
3. I found an extra cupboard in my kitchen. Funny, it had been there all along, staring me in the face! Go Storage!
4. I scored a fabulous deal on a chic mirror for my hallway!
5. My BFF Rach, had a healthy baby boy!
6. I DON'T HAVE TO GO TO WORK UNTIL AUGUST 4!!!

and I had one low... but not worth discussing. not worth it at all.

Also, I'm thinking about starting a picture blog... no words, just picture stories. Would anyone "read" it with no words? I saw an artist in Paris at a museum, who told stories with really random, funny pictures and I loved it. Hmmm.... Any thoughts?

Sounds like a pretty successful month. . . although having a whole month off is something to boost July up to your favorite! :0) You will probably be busier than you normally are anyway. We still may be able to at least stop by in the 19th? I mentioned it to Craig and he didn't say anything. So I don't know if that means we have plans or not. . .he won't give me a direct answer. haha! We shall meet in person soon. . .

So now with Christmas almost upon us, I wanted to take the last few days to make some Christmas Crafts. This weekend I spied this AWESOME clothespin wreath on Pinterest which lead me to  Hambly Screen Prints Blog . Not only is it a fantastic blog with fun projects, it's also an online store full of the coolest scrapbook\crafting supplies. If you haven't been to Hambly Screen Prints...  GO NOW ! The clothespin wreath was so fun and easy to make!  Supplies you need: Wooden clothespins scrapbook papers Washi tape (or decorative tape) You can buy washi tape at Hambly, Amazon.com, etsy, Michaels or most craft stores) Glue Thick cardboard for circle (or Michaels sells pre-made circle forms) Felt to cover cardboard (although I skipped that step) Decorate your clothespin however you like. A Book and A Giveaway

As I said I would be doing in my 7 Resolutions, I am reading a book a week. This past week I read the book Precious, based on the Novel Push by Sapphire. I'm sure most of you have heard about the movie based on the novel. The book club that I belong to is reading this book and now that I read it, I am going to give it away. The book was very eye opening, raw. You really don't want to believe that children have to live like this, that this is reality for many children\teens. Incest, rape, abuse, lack of education, lack of everything! I know this stuff happens, but you don't want to believe it. I work at a Middle School, and I look around and wonder what happens to some of these kids when they go home. My heart breaks. It's not an easy read by any means, but it will make you think and feel.
