Brought to you by the number 2

Today is my 2 year anniversary at my job. To "normal" people 2 years is not a long time to be a at a job... to my people that is a MILESTONE! I've had a handful of jobs since high school and graduating from college. The longest I've stayed at a job has so far been 1.5 years.
I just get restless and bored very easily, and so I have no problems putting in my two week notice. As a matter of fact i have become quite good at it, considering I've changed jobs A LOT! The other miracle of this job is that i hated it when i first started. I never thought I would stay there longer than a month... and now here I am 2 years later!
It's not the most exciting job, nor is it my dream job, but it's a job that i like. I have great co-workers that make the day most enjoyable. For example, just yesterday my work BFF and I hid a book about poop in the bathroom. Just some light reading to add some humor to our day. It's stuff like that, that makes me love my job!
And how am I celebrating my workiversary? By taking the day off!!! YAY!

TWD~Tiramisu Cake

Hello, My name is Noir and I am blogging in place of my owner Sabrina. She was too tired to blog so she asked me to write this for her. So while she is sitting here watching Gossip Girl, I am going to do her dirty work, because she is too busy drooling over Chuck Bass. Whatevs.

Tiramisu cake: I so wanted to make my big comeback with this cake! And sadly, this was my biggest disappointment yet. Mostly because the frosting did NOT turn out right. All that wasted marscapone makes me sad. It tasted awful, and my cream would not get thick.
I did like the cake part... very different than the traditional tiramisu I've been used to.
Making the cake was simple, and I decided to make it in a 9x13" pan instead of the 2 round ones.
So I plopped the icky frosting on top of the cake and sprinkled mini-chocolate chips on top.
It didn't taste half bad, but its not at all what I expected. I wanted the marscapone to be light and fluffy. Oh well, better luck next time.
On PBS the other day Lydia Bastianich made a lovely Limoncello Tiramisu... I would really like to try that sometime, it looked AMAZING!

I am really looking forward to next week's recipe, Lemon Tart. Love me some lemon goodness!
P.S. Thanks Noir for typing this up for me. You are the bomb diggity kitty!

Turkey Lurkey

I have been convinced lately that none of my real life friends read my blog.
Turns out my lurkers are my real life friends.
How do I know this? Well yesterday I was hanging out and catching up with my pals from high school and they apparently knew everything that was going on in my life.
How & Why?
"We read your blog!"
OH.
Thanks guys! You are the best!

I no longer have any site monitoring devices on my blog, I have no way of keeping track of where people are lurking from.
But what I want to know is, I wonder how many others lurk on my blog?
I love my lurkers by the way.
So hello creepy friends! Lurk away.

Also on a totally unrelated note, I have been having really weird dreams lately. I mean these babies would put the Sci-fi Channel to shame. I usually have very vivid and colorful and outrageous dreams, but lately they are INSANE!!!! I might have to start writing them down!
They start out tame and by the end of the week, I'm growing chicken eggs inside my body.
So tonight if I have a weird dream I will blog it tomorrow and all you lurkers can decipher it for me.

Good Advice

Read in Elle Magazine May 09' issue:
Dear E. Jean:
What should I have in my bag when I'm going out and thinking I may spend the night with a guy?

E. Jean:
I always carry fuzzy slippers, binoculars, and a copy of The Brothers Karamazov, a box of triscuits, and a slingshot.

I heart E. Jean who writes for Elle Magazine. Her advice is always truthful, helpful and strait forward.
Now I'm not advocating for one night stands. Nope! Never! But if I had to pick a few things to pack in an overnight bag, I would have to have:
a pencil sharpener
3-d glasses
left over chicken salad
a copy of Dressing your Pet for Dummies
trick gum that turned your tongue black
A Pee-Wee Herman Doll

What would you pack?

Books I Read in 2019

Here it is, my once a year blog post. This year I read 38 books. I always aim for 52 books, but life happens. I read more non fiction last ...
