I saw it the first time by myself on Friday afternoon (yes, I took the day off work so as to avoid the pre-teen screaming) and thought it was... weird (?). I have read the book a couple of times and liked it (although my like-age has waned) but the movie seemed weird (I don't know, schizophrenic maybe) and some of the special effects were super cheesy.

Anyway, I got my older sister (who hasn't read the books) to go see it on Saturday to see if I was just being all I-read-the-book weird about it, and she agreed that it was kind of like a movie that was made for people who liked the book. She had to keep asking me questions (like when Bella first walks into the Biology room she thought Edward was covering his mouth to hide his fangs... which are a big no-no in Stephenie Meyer land... because they never really talked about the smell that much, at least as much as they did in the book). Also, without knowing what's in the book Edward comes across as super creepy stalker guy.

My sister said it made her want to read the books too, only because having only seen the movie she couldn't figure out what all the hype was about. We're old too, though.Literature Crazyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11745445935235997199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091939931223101244.post-60986508206940640042008-11-24T12:07:00.000-06:002008-11-24T12:07:00.000-06:00LMAO I made my 11 year daughter old go with her si...LMAO I made my 11 year daughter old go with her sister who's 13 to
watch Twilght. The 11 year old had to tell me as loud as she could in a packed theater when it was over that was the stupidest vampire movie I have ever seen!
Then complained all the way to the van about how can vampires have no fangs? How can they walk around in daylight? I just laughed, every comment made the 13 year old got
madder and madder!Daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02382870731771581993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091939931223101244.post-24822260340023904942008-11-23T19:16:00.000-06:002008-11-23T19:16:00.000-06:00I came over from Heather's blog because I like you...I came over from Heather's blog because I like your blog name. But fun to experience it with you!

I'm going to steal those plates! Remember last year when I hounded you to give me the scoop on how to get them? You can have a giveaway and give them to me if you'd like. I'll be the only entry.
